The home is under tremendous pressure today. Marriage is at risk of being redefined. Parents, eager to grow children of character, are receiving conflicting messages from our culture. Cohabitation and divorce are at all time highs. Within this unsettling climate, the family desperately needs to be supported and strengthened.
We believe the Body of Christ and the Word it professes is the only real hope for the home. But the church has its work cut out for it. Family breakdowns don't usually surface until after a crisis hits. By then, it's often too late for prescriptive intervention. While pastors recognize the need, many churches just don't have the time or resources to do the ongoing, preventative ministry families need.
